  • Led this course for 20 undergraduate students. It explored the intersection of elite education and inequality in Germany over time. Topics included elites and wealth inequality in Germany, the intersection of wealth inequality and education, functions of elite schooling and changes in elite schooling in Germany, from the 19th century to the modern day.

  • Co-leader of this course for 60 third-year undergraduate students. Topics included wealth maintenance & reproduction, race & gender in elite education, transitions to higher education & approaches to social justice.

M.A./Ph.D. Courses

  • Led this course for 10 masters and doctoral students. Topics included the role of education in the re/production of social class; inequities in schooling; how educational experiences and outcomes intersect with race and gender; the impact of colonialism, post-colonialism and globalization on educational landscapes; and alternative solutions.

    2024/25

  • Teaching assistant on this course for 45 first-year MPhil/PhD students. Discussed data collection methods (case studies, ethnography, interviews and creative research methods), analysis techniques (transcription, coding) and approaches (grounded theory), and writing processes.

    2019/20

  • Teaching assistant on this course for 30 first-year MPhil/PhD students. Discussed designing & carrying out doctoral research, working with supervisors, disseminating results to wider audiences & academic integrity.
